The Ask

Develop a three to five-year strategic partnership for an existing fashion brand that connects with a company outside the industry. The goal was to create a collaboration that drives both cultural and commercial growth—reaching new audiences, generating long-term value, and strengthening each brand’s positioning. I was asked to outline how the partnership would work, what each side contributes, how value is shared, and how the collaboration could evolve over time to stay meaningful and sustainable.

The Process

I started by researching both industries to understand where their audiences and values overlap, then built a concept centered on storytelling, growth, and cultural relevance. Early on, I explored a few directions that looked good on paper but didn’t feel true to me, so I shifted my focus. That pivot helped me narrow in on what actually mattered—creating something that felt intentional and aligned with my perspective. Once the idea took shape, I outlined how the partnership would work, what each side would contribute, and how it could create lasting value over time.

From there, I explored several creative directions. Some worked on paper but didn’t feel true to me, which pushed me to pivot and focus on what felt authentic: narrative, growth, and intentional design. That shift helped me center the concept around themes that actually resonated with my perspective.

Once the idea solidified, I outlined how the partnership would function—what each brand would contribute, how the storytelling would unfold, and where long-term value could be created. With that foundation set, I refined the execution, shaping the experience in a way that felt elevated, clear, and true to both brands.

Skills Utilized

This project combined both creative and analytical skills. I used Adobe Photoshop to design mockups of packaging, book covers, and presentation slides—helping visualize how the collaboration could exist in the real world. I also used Microsoft Excel to build financial projections, calculate investment costs, and outline profit-sharing structures. Beyond design and data, the project relied on research and strategic thinking to identify audience overlap, brand storytelling to connect two distinct industries, and visual communication to present a clear, cohesive concept from start to finish.

The Outcome

The final concept showed how two industries could come together through storytelling to create cultural and commercial value. It pushed me to connect research with design, balance creativity with strategy, and communicate ideas clearly. Although I was not selected as a 2026 FSF Scholar, I walked away with a project that reflects who I am, what I value, and where I want to be.
